I am Cleola Hamilton and I am proud to be a Candidate of the Progressive Liberal Party representing the great constituency of South Beach! I am not just a candidate — I am a Mother, a Christian, a Nurse, and I am a strong black woman. And as a trade unionist, I know firsthand how poorly the FNM treats the workers of this country.
I have been on the ground in South Beach and I have heard about the scourge of high unemployment, the off the charts numbers of murders and violent crimes, about families evicted from their homes and sleeping in their cars, and about those cannot find food to put on their tables. South Beach, we cannot take this anymore.
I see a national deficit of 4.4 billion dollars that our children and grand children born and yet unborn have to repay. Thousands of work permits are being approved while Bahamians who are able and willing to work are unemployed and told that they need not apply. South Beach, and all Bahamians: We cannot take this anymore!

The PLP under the leadership of the The Rt. Hon. Perry G. Christie revived a broken economy, brought to the Bahamas anchor projects, investments and created 22,000 jobs for the Bahamian people; reducing unemployment to 7.8%. The PLP did it before and by the help of God; we will do it again.
Hold on and stand fast, for your oppressors and those who seek to keep you bound with social, and economic chains, the time will come when you will see them no more.
It is time for the PLP!
I would like to introduce our David, the candidate from North Abaco, who is taking on Hubert Ingraham himself, Renardo Curry.
