Ms. Vanria Strachan, a resident of Marco City, Grand Bahama, relayed a message to me from her 4 year old son, Tramad Parker, and I told her that I would share it with the rest of The Bahamas tonight. Tramad says that the PLP is ON; the DNA JUST BORN; and the FNM is GONE!
Good Evening my fellow PLP’s and Good Evening Bahamas!
My name is Andre Rollins, your PLP candidate for the great and historic constituency of Fort Charlotte and I am honored to have the opportunity to succeed a very esteemed and noble representative, the Honorable Alfred Sears.
I am the eldest child of Sylvester Rollins and Andrea Cartwright.
As the next Member of Parliament for Fort Charlotte, I will fight for socio-economic mobility and the preservation of a strong Bahamian middle class, so that those born into poverty will have hope for a more prosperous future. I will fight to address the ongoing marginalization of Bahamian males, who more and more are the victims of murder, and who according to statistics are less and less likely to graduate from college or to secure a job.
I, Sylvester Andre Rollins believe in The Bahamas and I offer myself in service to our beloved Bahamaland and to all of the constituents of Fort Charlotte, irrespective of their party affiliation, socio-economic background or race.
As I proceed on my journey towards greater national development in this great political vehicle that is the Progressive Liberal Party, I pray for God’s guidance for us all and I repeat as I said on the day that I joined your ranks:
“I shall stand with you and be counted! I shall join you and be proud! We shall walk through the valley undaunted! And we shall all shout out loud: PLP! All the way! PLP! All the way!”
Please join me in welcoming the man who has positively impacted the lives of hundreds of young boys through his Freedom Farm baseball league. Ladies and Gentlemen, the next Member of Parliament for Saint Anne’s.
