Curry Proud of Christie’s Cabinet Move

The move by Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. Perry Christie to hold a Cabinet Meeting in Abaco on Tuesday is expected to have a positive impact on the people of Abaco, especially those of North Abaco, according to the Progressive Liberal Party’s Candidate for North Abaco, Renardo Curry.
“Some of the decisions being made, I’m sure will be in the best interest of Abaco and will affect Abaco,” Mr. Curry said.
Curry, made his comments during a breakfast meeting on Monday at Jamie’s Restaurant in Marsh Harbour, Abaco.
The PLP candidate said he believed the gesture showed the government’s and his party’s support for the people of Abaco and for the future of the country’s third largest economy.

Curry, who is a deacon in his church, said that he has seen the hand of God moving throughout this election campaign and even in the General Election, despite his loss.
“I see God’s hand in this now giving North Abaco a second chance, and giving me a second chance. It is humbling. And I am happy that the Prime Minister has put so much faith in me and now is bringing down the Cabinet. It’s an historic day for Abaco,” he said.

Prime Minister Christie announced on Saturday night at the PLP’s Rally at the Abaco Central High School, that for the first time, he would hold a Cabinet meeting outside of New Providence. He also announced that major decisions could be made for the Island of Abaco during this sitting of Cabinet.
