About Me: Dr. Major was born on August 9th, 1961, in Nassau, Bahamas. Heis married to Monique (nee Smith) and the proud father of Brittany, Kendal Jr. and Kyalia. He is also an active member of Bahamas Faith Ministries.
Political Highlights: Dr. Major served as a Vice Chairman of the Progressive Liberal Party from 2008 to 2010. He addressed the National Convention of the party in 2009.
Education: Dr. Major completed his tertiary level education at Tuskgee University where he obtained his Bachelors Degree; He continued on to Howard University College of Dentistry where he obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Degree. He went on to further study at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where he obtained certified specialization in Periodontics and dental implants which are FICOI Designation (Fellowship of the International Congress of Oral Implantology) and DICOI (Diplomate of International Congress of Oral Implantology).
Civics/Social: Dr. Major has served in many social and professional organizations. He is a member of the Rotary Club of West Nassau; and also Past President and Secretary of Rotary. He is a Member of the Board of Directors of Teen Challenge Bahamas; Member of the National Commission on Prison Reform and has served as Chairman. He was also the Chairman of the Bahamas Dental Council and the Founder and Director of Bahamas First Study Club, which is a professional continuing education body for local dentists. Dr. Major through his Church has served as President of Real Men Ministry International and is the past Chairman of BFM’s Prison Ministries.
Professional/Career: Dr. Major currently conducts Specialized Dental at his Nassau and Freeport Offices. He also served as the Director of Dental Services at the Princess Margaret Hospital.
As the Member of Parliament for the Constituency of Garden Hills, Mr. Major plans to establish a Youth Community Center; create a Life and Literacy Skills Program and an Adult Education, Training and Skills Bank
